Hi, and welcome back to a new episode. And with this new episode, I am welcoming a new season too. I have really, really been feeling this shift into autumn recently. And to be honest, I'm really on the fence about it. I know that there's this huge divide right now. Some people are like, yes, cozy season is here. There's super excited for, to arrive. Some of us are like, oh, where is this summer gone? How did it get so cold overnight? And it's a really interesting time of year because as with any season, we notice a huge shift in energy. And this is one of my favorite things about being aware of the seasons is that it's very collective. And in my free, in your element masterclass, I spoke about how we each have inner seasons. We have the moon seasons, but these nature seasons like spring, summer, Autum winter are really beautiful because they're very collective energy.

The moon is too, but sometimes that's influenced by where we are our menstrual cycle, but these kind of outer seasons, not only do we all experience them, but we can all really see the tangibility of them. So I've been noticing that cold chill in the air. Particularly when I first wake up in the morning, I like to make a cow and then go and step outside. And my toes have been frozen for the past couple of weeks. Also noticing the change in colors of the leaves. It's kind of all going to this beautiful brown, yellow color, more leaves falling on the floor. For me, I've noticed some different harvesting within my allotment. I have beautiful friends. We all kind of have our own allotments or our family allotments that we, when we go and see each other, we all bring round all different vegetables and cook together.

And my friend was bringing round squash the other day, which for me is just autumn like defined autumn. My dad's also a gardener and lots of people have apple trees and they haven't been using their apples. Um, so I have got an abundance of fresh apples right now when me and the girls also went to the farm shop. The other day, we found hundreds. I wanna maybe even say thousands of apples in a tree, and we collected lots of those as well. So I've been making lots and lots and lots of apple crumbles, one of my favorites and just really sinking into that AU feel all my Willy clothes have come back out again. It seems to be a thing with me and my mom. We always crochet hats in the autumn season. And so we are really back to our crochet. Again, I think I'm gonna rewatch Gilmore girls for like the 10th time, cuz that just makes me think of autumn.

And it sounds like I'm very excited about it. And to be honest, I am, I do love this time, but I was speaking to my mom about this and I really, really struggle in the winter. I find the winter months very, very difficult. And to be honest, I haven't, other than the pandemic, I haven't actually had a winter in the UK for years and I won't be having a winter in the UK this year either. It's just not how I choose to live. I really just struggle within that season. So I kind of go to warmer climates because that's where I feel most inspired. But oddly, I do feel this calling to experience winter. And I think it is because when we are always in that summer energy, that pitter energy we can experience burnout. And as I spoke about in the masterclass, the thing with pitter energy, and so this is this kind of fiery goal setting doing, taking on more, very social energy.

It's very heavily celebrated in society. So we don't often want to stop that. And you've probably noticed this throughout the summer. You've wanted to say yes to the plans you've wanted to take on more. You've wanted to be busy because that is really where pitter energy thrives. Pitter is summer season energy. It's kind of in a, in abundance. But what happens with these different elements is that we have an excess of them. And when we have an excess of one, we have a deficiency of another. And if you've watched the masterclass, you'll know all about this, if you haven't the links them down below, please go and experience it. But when we talk about these deficiencies, what often happens is that we really need to go deep into those elements to be able to find balance. So for me, as soon as autumn arrives, if I spent my summer heavily in this pitter energy, I want to just ground, I feel kind of instantly tired as autumn hits.

I've noticed that the past couple of weeks, I just haven't had the energy to do things that I had been doing a few weeks ago. And we also feel this air element really rise because that is the element of autumn and where fire. So this summer energy is quite direct. It's kind of like, okay, this, this bam, bam kind of makes sense. And you can really feel this progress. Maybe you had that a project you were working on over the summer and it felt like it was just really, really effortlessly coming. And it was just, you were in such a flow. You were really in motion when this air energy comes in with the autumn season. What we can find is that we feel scattered. And the thing that I love so much about understanding the elements is that you can literally think of the qualities of that element to see the reflection within you.

So if you think about air, it is just everywhere, isn't it? And it's so hard to grasp. It's so hard to get a hold of it kind of goes in all different directions. It feels very intangible. Like it's just kind of free flowing, but in a way that has no direction. And I often think about a wind tunnel. Like if you want to get wind, if you want to get air to do something productive, you need to kind of funnel it in a certain direction. And so as autumn has arrived, I've really personally been feeling like I have no direction. I've kind of spent months with this fire energy building this course, and now it's coming to share it. And I have suddenly just gone into this airy fairy land. And I was speaking to one of my clients about this. Who's been on a very similar trajectory to me, like creating a course at the same time.

And we were speaking about how we've both kind of fallen into this place. We've both fallen into this place of very scattered energy. And the thing is, is when we go straight over into this air energy, which I am already very Vata dominant anyway. So I'm really feeling this amplified, uh, energy. We then have deficiencies in the other elements and life is a constant balance. This is whole, the whole premise of Aveda is that we want to be able to create a balance to find harmony and ease. So for me, I've had this excess of air energy in the last couple of weeks. And what that has started to translate into is anxiety. I've been having a lot more charged thoughts where they kind of go down these spirals and it feels difficult to really not control because we don't wanna control our thoughts, but kind of put that halt to, I was listening to a really beautiful talk by Tara BR and I'll share that blow was really good about how we are not our thoughts in this process of kind of catching ourselves and recognizing that we don't have to believe the truth of every thought.

And I have really been going in these spirals a lot recently. I felt a lot of self doubt. I felt a little bit overwhelmed, not in that I have a lot to do, but in that I'm just like, where do I even start with the stuff that I want to bring to life? I've been really tapping into my creativity a lot more because I know that that is such a prominent essence of air energy. So I've been doing a lot of watercolor painting, a lot of drawing, gonna be getting my scrapbook out again. This is a really beautiful side of VA to energy, but the kind of out of balance side of that is just kind of constantly creating without ever really ringing those creations into anything. And kind of the part after the creation that maybe requires a little bit of structure, a little bit of consistency, little bit of direction to bring that to the world.

So for example, creating Instagram posts, I have loads of ideas and things that I've written and they're just there. <laugh> like, I'm not doing anything with them. And this can be a sign of slightly out of balance, far to energy, really out of balance, far to energy is where you don't even feel creative at all anymore because that kind of overwhelm has really taken over. And you can feel just a little bit lost. You can feel like it's very hard to make decisions on anything to decide. You can really feel like you're being pulled in so many different directions. One day you wake up. So sure on one thing, the next you wake up and you think, oh no, that's, that's not for me at all. And that is very part like a human process, but it is also this sign that if we allow this a really escalate, we can feel outta balance in our Vater energy, particularly in autumn.

What we also have this kind of like double air, if you have Vater within you or even just the energy of the season can be very consuming and we can all kind of get pulled into that. And I know when I shared a poll on my story, a lot of you have been saying you've been feeling the same. So I really wanna speak about how to find balance and harmony within autumn because Vata energy is this beautiful. Like I said, creative energy, it's very open. It communicates, it brings new ideas. It's got this real freshness to it. It also can really think, provide new ways of thinking and new perspectives. So you may find that you are getting a lot of new ideas at the moment. You are feeling creative, but perhaps you're stuck in this cycle of actually finding direction with those. And we don't need to direct everything.

We create a huge thing for me recently has been creating for no purpose whatsoever. And this is something I really recommend to balance that Vata energy of just having those little pockets, where there is no purpose to your creations. When my girlfriends came over the other day, we said ourselves, the task of painting, but we were burning the paintings no matter what you were all gonna burn them. And the idea was is so that we had no attachment to them and we just didn't care. We didn't care if we made error, we could just be freely creative. And this is something that's very important transitioning from that pitter fire energy that really wants to be goal orientated into this more creative art energy is where can you invite in space to just create for joy? You know, when was the last time you did that?

Just created for the sake of it, really unattached to the outcome of that. The balance of this then is when you are creating for your business and you are creating something that you actually do really want to share with the world, and you do want to find this progression. How can you draw those creations into a structure that is gonna feel really supportive for you? And I have so many resources to help you do this in my content that connects course, I provide this whole system of really harnessing your creative ideas and inviting them into a flow that actually draws people to what you have to offer. And this is something to be really wary of with Vata energy is kind of putting something out there and then being typical air energy and not really following through on it. This is something very common with VAs is the shadow kind of sides of it is non-committal can be a little bit unreliable, can really struggle to fall through, follow through on stuff.

And this is why, you know, there's a million tabs open, probably if you have Vato within you right now, because that finishing isn't necessarily something that comes natural. So this is where I have kind of built a whole notion board of how to take these ideas, really have that creative expression and then draw them into this funnel where they're being brought to life in a way that really nourishes what you have to offer. And those that are interested in it, it's not about just being like here's a creative idea and sharing it. We absolutely do do that. And that's a beautiful part. But when you are leading people into something that you are offering, it's really about kind of having that full circle experience for people that VAs do tend to struggle with or within autumn, you may find yourself struggling with. And so another element of that is grounding as well.

So this is really important to balance. So we've just kind of the stuff we were speaking about of having that direction to the content or the things that you are creating for your business, or even just in general life is really that fire energy. So fire is kind of driven by direction driven by this end goal. Another way we find balance is within grounding. So introducing this earth element, and this is really, really important for farter, because like I said, that image of air, we can see all directions flowing. It doesn't have that sense of anchoring, and this is where the anxiety and the overwhelm can come from with air energy, because if it doesn't feel rooted, it really can get into that. Like, oh my God, what is going on space that overwhelm that really kind of lost sense. And so when we speak about grounding, we, we know what we associate with that we think of literal earth.

So like I said, I've been having like a cow in the morning, going out, putting my feet on the earth, taking some breaths because the thing with Vata energy and you'll notice this throughout autumn, is that it's really, really difficult to tell someone who is experiencing this excess of Vata energy, just to sit a meditate. That feels very counterintuitive because when you have this overwhelm of thoughts and this air energy, that's kind of spiraling in all directions, sitting in a meditation seat can actually enhance that. And I have shared a free Vata balancing meditation within the, in your element free section. And it focuses on having a single point focus. This is really important for Vata to find that balance is just actually creating an open space or something like meditation. And even just saying focus on the breath, it can be very, very difficult.

And so if you found yourself coming into meditation recently, and you're just like this isn't working, I cannot connect. That's very, very normal for this time of year, but what can be really, really beneficial is something that I introduce in the breath that I've shared with you is the below breath. So focusing on interrupting the breath at different points, counting the breath can be really beneficial or maybe not even coming to a meditation seat at all. And like I said, doing something like a grounded walk in nature, feet on the earth, even things like if you do come into a meditation seat, pressing down on the very center of your foot with your fingers and you can use different essential oils to do this, but anchoring in, that's a really beautiful anchoring spot of the foot, which is known as a mama point. And if you're pressing down on this while you're meditating, you're kind of sending this signal of grounding throughout the body.

One thing I spoke about at the start of this episode, and you've probably seen if you follow me on Instagram is how can you be intertwined with this season? So, like I was saying, like, I'm collecting the apples, I'm cooking with the apples. I'm cooking with seasonal foods. I'm really honoring the colder weather. I'm honoring the autumn sunshine. Like I'm being very present with the season, trying to be in nature as much as possible because my default right now having lots of art within me and being in autumn season is not grounding. My default is the overwhelm is the kind of jumping from thing to thing, not being able to commit to anything feeling kind of disconnected. And so for me, it is essential that I start every day with nature, even just being in sunlight as early as you can wake up, even if it's not sunny.

But just one thing I've started doing is I haven't really been feeling cool to go on walks in the morning. I tend to be cool to that later in the day to break up work. Um, but I have just been stepping outside, just stepping into the garden just for a couple of minutes. Sometimes I just do it when I let my dog out just to allow that sunlight. And this is really, really powerful. It's something that's so, so simple. And that is again, what I love about work with the elements is that it doesn't need to be overcomplicated. You don't need to do this huge dive. You don't need to like payloads of money to understand yourself. I mean, I've given these resources for free because I just want people to have this awareness, but also the awareness is all around you. If you look at the elements around you, you can see how they're being mirrored and reflected within you even just noticing what is happening within nature right now.

So the leaves are going brown. They're kind of falling off the trees. This is this beautiful symbolism of this inward energy that's coming with. Autumn. If you felt yourself being cool to be more inward, you don't want to make as many plans. You don't want to be seen as much. This is very common for this autumn energy. And this applies, like I said to both autumn, this outer season and with our inner seasons as well. So this is when you're leading towards your menstrual cycle towards your bleed. This is where you'll start noticing all of this energy that I'm speaking about here. And it's really important to be aware of those traits of the season of traits of air, if it's autumn and the other elements for the other seasons to see how they are reflected within you. So really the kind of the three main things that I've been doing to find balance within this time is creating organization and structure.

So I have been using my notion board. If you have seen this, it is an extreme notion board. I have spent months and months building it. It is going to be available for you to buy. But if you are in my AA aligned, authentic abundant course, you get full access to this. And it is essentially a way to organize everything organization. Probably isn't something that's feeling overly natural to you right now, if you're experiencing this excess of air energy, but it is the very thing that will bring you into balance. And I know that so many of us have this resistant to structure, particularly when we speak about this divine feminine energy structure, is this more masculine energy that I sense so much resistance to, with the people that come to work with me, which I appreciate. I've definitely been in that place, but we need to kind of create this reframe that this structure actually is just a support system that allows this feminine energy to fully sink into her essence.

If we don't have this kind of support, if we aren't showing up with the masculinity within ourselves, the feminine often doesn't feel safe to fully release, to fully express. And so having something like organizational systems, having flows, having nurturing spaces where we just feel like this chaotic energy of air is really brought into a calm ease, actually helps us harness all this beautiful sides of air. Like I said, more creativity, more desire to communicate, to bring new ideas. When we have that organizational support, we can really find balance and the beauty within this air energy. So that for me, has been diving into my notion board is like my self care right now, organizing my days, my weeks tracking my menstrual cycle, bringing all of my content ideas into a flow that actually connects with people. It's not just about putting out things for the sake of it, but really creating impact for people just by what I'm sharing.

You know, you don't even have to work with me. I trying to create kind of transformations within people just by opening up my social media page. And I've created very specific systems that take the content on a flow to really do that. So you are creating impact with your content. And this is something to be wary of with this far to energy is just create, create, create, put out, put out, put out in a scattered kind of way. And we wanna think about the energy that we're putting out scattered energy to people sometimes can feel a little bit chaotic and sometimes it can mirror. So when I speak about air and I was saying about this kind of non-committed sign, if you're having a lot of people come into your space and being like, I just can't commit to this right now. I can't, you know, think about the Vata energy that you are putting out into the world and adding a little bit of this fire or this grounding energy can really be reflective in the people that come back to you.

So that's where I've been really focusing my energy in terms of my business. Then, like I said, grounding really, really grounding with nature, just being in nature as much as I possibly can, particularly when I have a lot to do on my laptop, regular breaks. I've been sitting outside a lot, even if I'm wrapped up in a blanket. Cause like I said, that chill is coming through. I have been being outside and really immersing myself into that energy of grounding. And then also with Vata energy is giving space for creativity. Like I was saying, I've been really giving myself little pockets of time where I don't create for a purpose and giving space to that because when you are feeling in that place of overwhelm, like I said, the creativity struggles to come through. So for me, I'm adding this fire through this structure and organization, I'm adding this earth through grounding and then I'm harnessing that beautifully balanced side of art energy, which is very creative and likes to bring new ideas.

And it's because I have that foundation of balance that I am really able to tap into these beautiful sides of Vata. So I hope this offers you a little bit of reassurance that if you've been feeling some of the things I'm speaking about, know that it is very seasonal.
